I bought a Quest 2 last February, and a Quest 3 back in October, and I've been wanting to apply weights to the controllers to get more of a workout. I realized that applying weights to the Quest 3 is a hard thing to do, considering the LEDs on the front prevent anything from blocking it, and there aren't many places to mount weights aside from the battery case, which is pretty far down the controller and would result in a terrible weight distribution. I found these Kiwi weights for the Quest 2 controllers that I like, but would there be a way that I could use the Quest 2 controllers with my Quest 3, and then use the Quest 3 controllers with my Quest 2?

Sadly not. The controllers are tracked in different ways and are incompatible.

sorry but i dont think so... if you can pair the quest pro controller to the quest2 and the quest3, and both mq2 and mq3 use IR tracking, then its just a question of software to be able to use the mq2 controller on the mq3.
