Around a week ago my left controller on my quest 2 just wont track, I've replaced the batteries, unpaired and paired it back, I've tried everything suggested including factory resetting the VR, nothing is working and I don't know what to do

Hi there @Local_Human! Thank you for using our platform to bring this to our attention and letting us know the troubleshooting steps you have already tried. This is definitely not the experience we want for you, so we would love to look into this for you in order to get you back to a smooth VR experience. That being said, could you kindly answer the questions listed below?

  • Has your play area changed recently?
  • Have you tried different play spaces?
  • Has the tracking worked properly before?
  • Are you using third-party accessories or covers with your device?
  • When does this issue occur? Does it happen only in certain games? Does it happen in the Home environment or in menus?

Once we have a better understanding of this matter, we can know what course of action is best to take next. We look forward to hearing back from you soon!

Hi there,

Thanks for replying to our post. We can see that you are still continuing to have tracking issues with your controller, no problem! We'll be happy to help out. We have a few troubleshooting steps here we would like you to try and see if this fixes the tracking, please see below:

1. Ensure your area is well lit, with enough light to see clearly, but no direct sunlight
2. Ensure your area is free of small lights such as Christmas lights, or LED strips
3. Ensure your area is free of reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, or polished marble
4. Ensure the tracking cameras are clean
5. Ensure your environment is free of any obstructions between the tracking cameras and the controllers
6. Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect tracking or controller detection. For example, controller and headset covers, controller attachments, etc.

If the problem still persists after this, please reach out again and we will look at what we can do next!
