Quest 2 Link and Airlink making laptop hard crash

Lettis
Honored Guest

I've been having an issue with Quest Link for the past year. It makes my laptop crash and restart. This has more or less made me stop playing VR altogether. I mostly just play VRChat now to hangout with friends. I can play in desktop mode indefinitely and not crash at all. As soon as I get into VR the crashing happens at random intervals. I've monitored temps and that isn't the issue.

Specs: MSI Delta 15

Windows 10 11

AMD Radeon RX 6700M

32GB DDR4 3200

AMD Ryzen 7 5800H

I've tried just about everything I can possibly think of.

I've tried all of my usb ports.

I've tried multiple graphics drivers. (Currently on 23.9.1)

I even tried multiple versions of the bios for this laptop. I'm currently running the latest one.

I changed the encoder from H.264 to H.265 with the debug tool.

I've tried different usb-c cables... I tried Airlink to rule out any cable, and usb A/C port issues.

I haven't tried updating to Windows 11 since I don't see how it would change anything.

I don't know if this is just an AMD issue cuz I never had any issues when I had my RTX 2060.

I'm really grateful for any help anyone can provide.

Edit: I updated to Windows 11 as a last ditch effort to see if that would fix my issue, but it didn't.

Windows had a .net framework udpate, but that didn't fix anything.
