I have had my oculus for around three years now, and it is a fantastic piece of hardware. This smooth wind had been disintegrated and replaced only with confusion but mostly frustration and anger, all starting around June of this year when I went to play a VR title on pc that I had bought.
When attempting to plug in my headset on my, previously working, off brand cable, a cable that to this day still works on other hardware except mine, I was/am faced with constant/instant disconnections, and when it does work it freezes after a while, and when it returns to gameplay the entire top left part of the viewport is glitched and creates motion sickness.
The confusing part comes from the fact that no parts were changed from my last working playthroughs of other VR titles, and it has nothing to do with the games. For example, I had a GTX 1650 graphics card this time last year, and VR worked great! Then in December of 2023 I got a pc VR title along with a RTX 2060 graphics card, and both cards up until June worked fantastically in VR, and after taking a 5-month break from VR, I returned to nothing working and anger.
This is just problem, but I have tried (and I know everyone says this/ I don't mean to be rude) BUT LITERALY EVERYTHING, and I swear I don't mean to be rude, its just that I'm down thousands of dollars in hardware and software, and left feeling a little betrayed by working parts that, in such a short period, are now worth nothing when it comes to their purposes, PCVR.
I have tried messing with USB stuff, trying new ports, getting multiple new cables, replacing only hardware, going into the oculus debug tool, opening command prompts, uninstalling, reinstalling, everything! Please try and help me fix this problem, it would be very appreciated, thank you!
