I have a Quest 2 - 256 GB that was working just fine till yesterday. I did not update it since 2023.
Yesterday ( Dec 23-2024 ) Meta pushed me to Update to Latest Firmware that I did through Settings and since then the Headset would show the Boot screen followed by Meta Horizon Logo screen and then Powers off itself.
Have tried all troubleshooting like Boot, SideLoad Update and Factory Reset but nothing works.
The customer Care literally admitted that the Software update caused the hardware problems but since its not in warranty wants me to buy the stupid Out of Warranty Program for a refurbished headset.
How does that make any sense ?

Admitting that the firmware update caused the failure is wild.

@vr_tek that's grounds for legal action. Their software update killed your working headset.
