Quest 2 battery drain after recent update.

My quest 2 has started draining the battery even when autowake is disabled and the power has been shut down (power off message confirms, light flashes orange, and shut down noise plays).  Then a couple seconds later, the light comes back on, and if I put the headset on, it shows the meta logo, then the battery status info, then goes black again, then repeats the same thing - over and over.  Soon enough, the battery is drained even though it wasn't used once since the battery was charged.  (this is over the span of less than a day)

My guess is that even when it's 'off', Meta is still leaving the device active to snoop on whatever it can while not in active use.  Not being able to completely power the thing off is annoying as hell, especially when the reason is most likely that Zuck likes to snoop on your private conversations so he can sell you some cheap Chinese widget you didn't even know you wanted.

Hey there @CaptainInfamous!

From the sounds of it, your device may be getting stuck in a loop when trying to power off your device. We understand the importance of being able to turn off your headset and keep the battery alive longer when taking a break, and that looping showing the battery status does not sound quite right. Do you have any weird interactions if you just put the headset to sleep? Besides the battery, are you having any issues playing your games, or using your headset?

If you have not already, we would recommend following the steps to perform a Factory Reset on your headset, this will help ensure there are no software errors causing your headset to loop around with the logo and battery status while powered off. If you are still having issues after a Factory Reset, let us know and we would love to investigate further!
