So everytime i boot up my quest 2 the controller vibrates and the screen shows just black nothing else and after like 15 seconds it turns off. I have tried to factory reset many times and it never works just goes back to the same problem.

There is a proximity sensor between the eyes that senses your forehead. Sometimes it can get dirt or something in there so it can't tell you are wearing it on your head, so it goes into power saving mode and turning off the screen. Try cleaning that area out and try again.

Thanks for the suggestion unfortunately it did not work.

I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried everything but nothing works.

I've read that turning off the Guardian in Developer settings can cause this, which is what we do, but even after a Factory Reset it still does this.

We have purchased about 20 headsets and 7 have this same issue!

I've been emailing back and forth with Meta support, but they have not been helpful at all. I keep getting passed to a new person and they keep just saying to do a factory reset. Very, very frustrating.

I have tried factory resetting a dozen times in every way possible.

I also sideloaded a software update using this page: https://www.meta.com/help/quest/software_update/

I've tried starting the headset with the batteries out of the controllers. I've tried charging the headset to 100% and also tried letting it get to 0% and then charging it again. I've tried every potential solution I can find online.

Nothing has helped!

We are a business that uses the Quest 3 headset, and we have this same exact issue now with seven headsets, which is about 50% of the headsets we have purchased from you directly or from Amazon.  They all have the same exact issue.

At a seemingly random time, it will suddenly stop working. When you boot the headset:
  1. The Meta logo shows up like normal.
  2. The normal boot process happens.
  3. The display just shows black. The display is on, but it's like you are in a dark, black room.
  4. The volume up and down buttons work and you can see the UI come up.
  5. The controllers each vibrate every 5 seconds or so and the light on the controller blinks.
  6. The normal "background" sound and elevator style music can be heard.
How can we get to the bottom of this? It must be something we are doing that is different from the norm, but we can't figure out what that could be. And we assume that after a factory reset, any settings would be reverted.

Help!  We really need to resolve this soon.  What type of diagnosis tools can we try?

Does anyone have any idea of what is happening?
