Quest 2 headset will not pair. Can I use a different code?

One of my Quest 2 headsets will not pair. I've tried all of the suggestions so far, but nothing seems to work. Can another code for pairing be used on a headset? I have tried factory reset, Wi-Fi match up, different devices with the meya app, but still no luck.  Any other ideas to solve this headache?

Hey @vern.99939!  Thank you for patience. Of course, we're here for headsets and not headaches!  Just for clarity, which device are you attempting to pair your Quest with? Also, what trouble-shooting steps have you taken so far? Below you'll find a checklist for pairing along with how to properly remove and reinstall the Meta Quest app.

 

Things to note when pairing:

  1. Make sure your headset and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
  2. Check to make sure your headset is nearby and turned on.
  3. Check your Wi-Fi signal. If your signal isn't strong, try moving closer to your wireless router (Internet connection device).
  4. Make sure that your app is up-to-date.

If you're still not able to connect, please attempt the following:

  • Turn your headset off.
  • Delete the Meta Quest app.
  • Open Bluetooth settings on your phone, select your Quest 2 and "forget device" to clear the cache.
  • Re-install the Meta Quest app.
  • Turn your headset back on and restart the pairing process.
