Quest 2 left controller tracking not working

kocmoc_62

I was playing a game and my controller died, so i replaced the battery with a new 100% battery.
However, the tracking on the controller did not work...

Even though in the "quick settings" it said the the left controller is on 100% and is completely paired with my headset?

The buttons work such as the joysticks and the triggers, but the tracking is just gone. The 3d model of the controller doesnt even show up in the menu. but the right controller does and tracking is fine with it

The tracking could randomly come back to life but it would work extremely weak, I can confirm its not the environment/light thats the problem, the right controller has no problem here.

There was an error that happened before all of this. I had a "system UX keeps stopping" error which basically didnt allow me to open "quick settings". Then the left controller tracking stopped working completely. I dont know if they are related to eachother but i performed a factory reset thinking it would fix it. The system UX problem was fixed but the left controller tracking problem wasnt

Hey there, @kocmoc_62 ! We don't want tracking issues with your left controller getting in the way of your VR fun!
Please answer a few questions for us to help us see what might be causing the tracking issues you are experiencing:

  1. Has your play area changed recently?
  2. Have you tried different play spaces?
  3. Has the tracking worked properly before?
  4. Are you using third-party accessories or covers with your device?
  5. When does this issue occur? Does it happen only in certain games? Does it happen in the Home environment or in menus?

Also, try the following:

  • Make sure your area is free of reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, or polished marble
  • Clean your tracking cameras with a dry microfiber cloth.
  • Ensure your environment is free of any obstructions between the tracking cameras and your controllers
  • Please remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect tracking or controller detection. For example, controller and headset covers, controller attachments, etc.
  • Unpair and pair your controllers to your headset

Please let us know if any of tips helped out at all!
