Was playing PCVR, and then computer said the port my quest was in was having a power surge. Now after this, my quest won't charge or connect to my computer. Did it fry the port or something?
Hey there, @Nebroc12! We know the boundless limits that PCVR has to offer! We're here to help to get this resoled quickly so you don't have to continue missing out on all the fun! We would suggest to these next alternatives and see if that'll resolve he issue. Follow the steps below:
Attempt to charge the headset for 2 hours. The headset must be left powered off or in a sleep state during this time.
Try a different Cable/Charger; if possible, test the cable and charger (adapter) separately to determine the faulty component
Charge the headset without the facial interface. Some facial interfaces may block the proximity sensor which can impact the power of the headset.
If you're using the Elite Strap with Battery or any third-party accessories that may affect battery charging or consume power (such as external battery packs, external fans, etc.) If so, have them disconnect the Elite Strap with Battery or any third-party accessories and try charging the headset again.
