I ordered a quest 2 about 7-8 days ago and is it supposed to be delivered today but I’ve had no word off of meta I’ve not even been told if it’s been dispatched just “order placed” can someone please let me know how to fix this please
I think cancelling an order, before it physically arrives, is impossible in the Meta world. But anything available on Amazon can likely be ordered and delivered ahead of your current order, unless there is a backorder on the particular item with Amazon. So you could order it that way, then cancel your Meta order when it shows up.
Meta will keep your money until about 5-7 days after you've completed all the steps to send it back and it arrives back in Meta land, so if you'd have to pay for two for that 2-3 weeks.
And, if the Meta one gets lost, they'll likely blame you and give as much resistance to a refund.
Lesson - don't buy anything through Meta store that you don't have to.
My personal experience is that you can't fix it. I went to order a quest 3, estimaged delivery was 3 days out. As soon as I paid the delivery estimate changed to 8 days out...literally 10 seconds later. I tried to cancel, per the terms but they claimed my item was already "shipping" therefore it must be shipped to me, no way to stop it, and then I can (possibly?) cancel after I receive it. I think support is in India and they have no authority to do anything except make excuses and no concept of supervisor or contact with anyone that could stop shipment. So, in 8-10 days, I'll be in situation you are in with a further delay, no way to track the cancelled purchase. Never again - same item ordered on Amazon would be here in under 2 days
