Quest 2 oculus link screen tearing

Minipaul96
Explorer

My quest 2 has been experiencing screen tearing with most games, the screen tearing starts after sometimes not immediately, usually after a loading screen or after the game lags a bit, after that the screen tearing won't stop whenever I move my head, there's no lag or stuttering. I would need to reconnect my link cable and restart the game, after a while, the screen tearing starts again. Anyone has the same issue? If yes please help 🙂

I have recently started using Link and when ever my Quest 2  lags slightly that's when I get screen tear and even when I use Air Link the same thing happens. I have tried all the solutions I have seen online and nothing has worked so far.

We appreciate you providing that information! To help narrow down what may be going on here, are you using Quest Link via cable, or are you using Air Link? Make sure you have a stable connection if using Air Link, and try multiple USB ports if Link Cable. Some other things to check are:

  • Ensure you are not running other programs as much as possible, especially things like GeForce Experience or screen recording software.
  • Ensure HDR is disabled
  • Try removing the device from the Meta Quest Link app, restarting the PC, and then adding it back

Please have a look at these settings, and let us know how this goes!
