Quest 2 stick drift

I got my vr few years ago but my left controller started drifting some time ago and I have tried the deadzone thing and tried cleaning the joystick with some electronic cleaning thing and unpairing and pairing the controller. The joystick drift goes all the way to the right side so the deadzone doesn't work and cleaning it works but it comes back in few minutes. Is there anything else to try or do I need to buy a new controller.

You can buy a new controller or spend a few pounds on a joystick module repair kit (including tools) from Amazon, ebay or AliExpress.

Thank you, I will try the repair kit.

Hei

Yes i'm having issues with the stick drift

Hey again, @c3k4! We appreciate you letting us know that you're experiencing issues with controller drift, and we're eager to help you figure out what's going on. We would like to troubleshoot with you, so we kindly ask that you perform the following:

  • Remove the batteries from your controller for 30 seconds. Put the batteries back in and power your controllers on.
  • Recalibrate your controllers:
  1. From your headset, select Settings.
  2. Select Devices then select Controllers.
  3. Under Thumbstick range and deadzone, select the thumbstick you're having an issue with.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate the thumbstick deadzones.

Note: When your controllers are turning on, make sure the thumbsticks are resting in their neutral position.

Please perform the trouble shooting steps above and let us know if they prove to be successful. We're looking forward to your response!
