Quest 2 tracking lost and controllers only vibrate and flash every couple of seconds

My quest 2 has suddenly stopped working almost completely. When i turned it on it showed a still image of the vr environment, as if displayed as a normal monitor. After a few seconds, it turns to a black screen with "tracking lost" box in the middle. My controllers start vibrating and flashing the light every couple of seconds, and i cannot do anything with them, they wont register in vr, no buttons or joysticks do anything. Ive tried factory resetting the headset, but to no avail.

  • Has your play area changed recently?
  • Have you tried different play spaces?
  • Has the tracking worked properly before?
  • Are you using third-party accessories or covers with your device?
  • Are you experiencing this issue with both controllers?
  • When does this issue occur? Does it happen only in certain games? Does it happen in the home environment or on menus?

Also, when you have a moment, please confirm that these steps to perform a factory reset were followed by all possible means. We'll be looking forward to hearing back and getting you on the right track!

My play area hasnt changed at all, have tried multiple play spaces, the tracking worked properly earlier on the day it stopped working, i dont have any third-party accessories or covers, both controllers have the same problem, and the issue with the headset and controllers happens immediately when i turn on the device.
Factory resetting also did nothing to help the issue
