I play PCVR using a link cable frequently. When I am done playing, I power off the headset (not standby) and put my Windows 11 PC to sleep (standby). Sometimes, the headset wakes the PC. I am sure it is the headset, because the PC tells me that it was the device plugged into the USB port the Quest ist plugged into. Plus, the PC does not wake up if the Quest is disconnected.
How do I disable the Quest from waking my PC? I disallowed all devices from waking my PC from standby using Task Manager. But the Quest 2 does not show up as a device where I could disallow that. Therefore, I probably need to disable that behavior in the Quest 2 software.
I am aware that I could unplug the Quest each and every time after playing, which is the status quo. But when I inevidably forget, the PC wakes up in the middle of the night and keeps running all night. So please only post real solutions instead of workarounds.
I could not find such an option under Settings->General->Power nor under the "Updates" settings.
BTW: My Quest 2 also automatically turns on after I just powered it off and disconnected the link cable. This is unwanted behavior, since the headset would then switch to standby and be discharged the next time I want to use it. That is the very reason why I power it off in the first place.
