So previously when I've wanted to load new custom songs into Audica, I've just plugged my Occulus into the USB-C port on my laptop, agreed to the prompt, and added the files I needed to. I haven't connected my occulus in forever, but no when I do, I still get the sound, and my PC knows it's connected, but there is no prompt and the occulus doesn't show up on file explorer.
I've gone into the developer tab and it's changed, it no longer has the toggle for the prompt it did previously. It does have one for something called an MTP notification which is on, but nothing comes up. How am I supposed to find my quest 2 on file explorer if the prompt to share no longer shows up??

Hi Tygsy!
That sounds like quite a frustrating issue. Rest assured, we're here to help!
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try and solve the issue:
Restart both devices:
Enable USB Connection Dialog:
Reinstall Quest Link Software:
More information on transferring files from PC to your headset here.
If the above steps have not resolved your issue, please let us know and we can continue troubleshooting!
Best wishes,

Did the reset already, and as already stated the dialog is enabled, but nothing pops-up when I connect to my PC.
I didn't use QuestLink previously as you could just connect directly - can we no longer access the files on the headset directly? Questlink seemed to let me load stuff from the store, but not directly access the files on my headset unless I'm missing something? Audica is no longer listed in the store, so it won't show up on Questlink anyway, despite being on my headset and still playable.

Hi Tygsy,
Have you attempted to update your drivers? If not , here is a step-by-step guide.
Please let us know if you have already done this.
Best wishes,

This doesn't work. If the Occulus is plugged into my laptop and turned on, it shows up specifically as Occulus Device and doesn't haven't anything labelled Meta to update. I have updated the Occulus drivers and it made no difference.
Currently, it will only allow me to access my Occulus on my PC via QuestLink, which doesn't seem to allow me direct access to the folders on the Occulus. Are we still able to plug an Occulus in and access the files directly via File Explorer, or am I just being given the run around?

Given that the advice so far seem to have ignored what I've said, can I just ask for simple Yes or No answers before we get to the whole "it's complicated and we need your personal details" bit?
A) Should I still be able to access files on my Occulus directly via File Explorer?
B) If the above answer is No, are we now only able to access stuff on the Occulus via Quest Link?
C) Can I somehow access the files/folders on the Occulus directly via Quest Link?

yes - you should be able to access files on the headset via file explorer, as long as you have enabled a developer account and allow the USB connection which should be a popup in notifications accessed through the notification bell when you connect the headset to the PC with a cable
If you have a dev account, then you should also be able to move files from the PC to the headset using the Sidequest PC software.

Thank you for getting back to us.
To answer your question, on the current version of the UI, the message to connect to access files can be viewed by going to your notifications on the headset.
When you plug in the headset, you should see a small bell with a notification badge on the bottom status bar next to the quick settings button.
We would like to take a closer look into this for you, if the information above does not resolve your issue.
