I can’t pair my new quest 2 to my phone. I am entered the 5 digit code, but the phone can’t see the hearset. It is just searching.

What is the problem?

@Rl_Hanzo Heyo, that's quite frustrating. No worries, this is something we have been seeing a bit of lately and have been working diligently to get it resolved for everyone.


That being said, there is a couple of things we can try out!


I do want to begin by asking a couple of questions:


  • Are you trying to pair with the right account?
  • If the account on your app isn't the same as the admin one on the headset you won't be able to pair.
  • Are you seeing any specific error messages?
  • When did this first start, just today?
  • Has the headset been paired with the app previously?


Also, could you test out the following:


  • Uninstall the Meta Quest app.
  • Reboot the headset:
    • Turn off the headset.
    • Hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together until the boot menu loads. 
    • Use the Volume Buttons to highlight Boot Device and press the Power Button.
  • Reinstall and open the mobile app for roughly 5 seconds before attempting to login.
