Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a persistent issue with my Meta Quest 3: 3D stereoscopic videos (Side-by-Side and Top/Bottom) are no longer displayed correctly.
I’ve tested:
- YouTube VR (multiple verified 3D videos)
- Meta browser and alternative browsers like Wolvic
- DeoVR and other apps (forcing the 3D display mode)
- Local 3D .mp4 files (SBS and T/B), manually switching the playback mode
In all cases, the videos appear as flat 2D on a virtual screen — no stereoscopic depth.
However, **180° and 360° content works perfectly fine**, so the VR environment itself is functioning.
I have:
- Disabled PTC
- Tried both v72 and v74 (no difference)
- Performed a full factory reset
- Reinstalled all apps
- Tried different video sources and formats
This issue started **after a recent update** — previously, the same 3D videos worked just fine.
It seems like the headset is no longer processing stereoscopic video layers properly.
Can anyone from the Meta team or community confirm this bug is being investigated?
Happy to share test videos, screenshots or help debug further.
Thanks!

Just following up on this in case anyone else is experiencing the same issue.
I’d love to hear if others are having this problem, or if there’s a workaround I may have missed.
Thanks again to anyone checking in or giving feedback!
