I've been using the Quest 3 for almost 8 months now, and before i used the Quest 2 without any problems via Air link/same router/same PC...
This Saturday I'm playing Borderland 2 VR and on Monday the Quest 3 can no longer connect to the PC without any reason.
If I want to activate Air Link via the Q3, my PC is displayed in the Air Link Menü as before, but the Start Button for Air Link remains gray and it says "not connected".
I've already tried everything:Hard reseting the Headset, factory reset, router reset, PC & Quest 3 reset, Meta Quest Link restart via the beta menu in the PC Oculus APP, repair function of the Meta Quest APP, firewall completely switched off but nothing...
Then I read that you should completely delete the Oculus software with all folders and reinstall it. I did that and lo and behold it worked, for exactly ONE day....
When I booted up my PC today and started Quest 3, the same problem... The PC is displayed but the start button to start Air Link remains gray and it is not connected. WHY? Do I have to completely uninstall the software every time, including all folders, then reinstall it in order to be able to play via Air link for exactly ONE day, which has worked for over 3 years before (Quest 1, Quest 2, Quest 3) without any problems?
The connection works immediately using the original Meta Quest Link cable. Virtual Desktop APP works also...
Hello. I have a Quest 3S. an hour ago air link worked just fine. now 15 minutes before the start button is greyed out. i already tried deactivating activating air link and made restart procedure. didnt help. the button changed to "coupling" then the "start" button is blue/greyed out.... can someone help?
Edit: the quest had an update to V71. i installed and now its working again. this air link seems unstable :S
Edit2: It just happend again. im now using the link cable. with that it works. this is not nice really..
How is this such a persistent problem? About two weeks ago, I was able to run Link fine, and the all of a sudden it can't find my computer despite having it connected like last time. AirLink can see my computer but it won't connect!
I'm on PTC v72, and it's still not working. How can Virtual Desktop run some of my apps on my desktop, but for some reason Meta Link will not? Make it make sense.
I'm having the same issue, I've tried most of what I've read but SteamVR either just crashes airlink (while it crashes) causing these weird triangle shapes to appear everywhere I look, or it just puts me back in the normal mode without any warning.
Same s..it says to me after a successful longer period of playing
it says that graphic card is not compatible with air quest link
like always PC got thousands ways to prank you and f..k up your day suddenly or if you do wrong step in this carefully planed maze and etc not recommend use such a stuff for those who don't have much clue or nation as other wise it will cost you way more than you expecting like everywhere is money sucking mashine and for repair or help or protection you'll spend a lot of cash as more and more doors are about to be closed if you won't pay so might be its good reason just to quit this labyrinth and be a minimalist or something as this web is meant to be created or people get degradate quicker. Still, thanks there's always another side of the stick or coin whatever in this concrete jungle with a real survivor game. Sorry about my sincerity might it look over a bit ... but this nishe chooses only chosen ones and it sucks.
iM in the same Boat, mine connects and then disconnects a few seconds later, i have had so much trouble trying to use Virtual desktop and my P.C which is Godlike and i still can`t get them to work in unison. Im getting to the stage that im pretty much done with Meta Equipment it is all so frustrating.
I've also recently started having a problem connecting with my airlink. It's stuck on "searching for PC", the Meta app is open, but it won't connect. I've tried restarting my Quest 3 and rebooting my computer but no luck.
Hi, to me the airlink stop on the quest headset, when try start just show one blackscreen and i need press power button to device sleep and press to wake up so afer this i can open menu by controler and close the link, this hapen after light of my house down while I use Quest link to dev on unity, and after thuis I cant use the emulator too. because I develloping an AR app and need camera passthrough mode, and unity shows error, but i can dev on old build and test mode, the app work, i think is some related to ADB
Link stopped working about 2 weeks ago. I went to using Air Link, that stopped working today, and yet Virtual Desktop works fine. What a garbage product.
