Quest 3 Air link broken...again

I know this is probably a lost cause but I figured I would give it one more shot. Every time Meta releases an update it breaks my Air link. The Quest 3 sees my computer and connects no problem. All requirements met. The problem is when I launch airlink I get 3 white dots and then an immediate crash back to the airlink screen. I click launch again and then I just get the 3 white dots spamming in an infinite loop. This happened the last time Meta released a major update too. However, I was able to finally fix it by uninstalling Oculus app several times in safe mode. Unfortunately, that isn't resolving the issue this time around. I have uninstalled Oculus app 3 times in safe mode and deleted all oculus files under appdata local, localLow and roaming. I also deleted cookies, temporary files and history as suggested. Tried rebooting router and modem as well. I have also tried removing and then re-pairing the headset several times. Windows 11 and my NVidia drivers are up to date. I even tried a factory reset on my Quest 3. Not really sure what else I can do at this point. It should also be noted that I can connect to my pc and play steam games with Steam link wirelessly with no issues so this is clearly an issue with Meta and their terrible software implementation.

Hello there, @Killerquagmire73. PCVR is a great way to take your VR experience to the next level. We want to ensure that our users get to enjoy that experience the way they want to, whether that's in standalone mode or through PCVR. Our goal is to get you back in the game. With that being said, due to the troubleshooting have already tried, which we appreciate by the way, we'd suggest that you perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of the PC app. This will remove all traces of the previously installed software and install the most up-to-date version, removing any potential corrupt or old files in the process.

  1. Disconnect the Link cable from the computer.
  2. Disconnect your computer from the internet.
  3. Backup any necessary content. You can find steps on how to do so by clicking here.
  4. Reboot into Safe Mode. You can find steps on how to do so by clicking here.
  5. Uninstall the Oculus PC app using the Control Panel. You can find steps on how to do so by clicking here.
  6. Delete all Oculus folders from the following folder: C:\Program Files

  7. Remove any Oculus folders from the following locations: C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData
    C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Local
    C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\LocalLow
    C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Roaming
    C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache

  8. Restart your computer in normal mode.
  9. Reconnect your computer to the internet.
  10. Install the Oculus PC app again using the setup tool from our website here.
  11. Reconnect the Rift/Link cable and test the headset once more.

I have tried that already. 3 times in fact and it's not working. I still get the same result- Quest 3 says it's connected to my PC but when I launch air link I get 3 white dots then a crash back to the Quest 3 air link page. When I try to launch air link a 2nd time I just get stuck in an infinite loop with the 3 white dots.

Can you explain why I don't have this issue with the Steam link app? It works perfectly with Quest 3 over wifi with my PC for Steam VR. So why doesn't Air Link work with the oculus desktop app??

You guys need to contact Steam so they can teach you how to implement this stuff properly.
