Hi,
Last week I 'upgraded' from a Quest 2 to a Quest 3. I am sim racer which means I mainly use the headset only (with a PC via the Oculus Link software) and the controllers are just for menu navigation. I find that if the don't use the controllers for several minutes, whilst in a race so 30 mins or so, then they turn off and I get a message on the screen notifying me of this and stating that I should press any button to reactivate them. However, on pressing any button on the controllers results in nothing happens. A light on the controller flashes everytime I press a button on the controller but I don't get the little vibration telling me that the controllers are active and connected to the headset. I find the only way to re-activiate them is to take the batteries out of the controllers and then put them back in. This I need to do several times and then the controllers randonly come back to life. Sometimes I have to turn off the restart the headset and remove the controller batteries to get this to connect again. The batteries are brand new and I have tried several pairs. Also not sure if this is connected but I play in low light (not pitch dark). For this I have bought an infra red light. For the Quest 2 it worked amazingly well and tracking was much improved. With the quest 3 there is zero improvement and it doesn't seem to matter if the infrared light in on or not. Does the Q3 not support infrared light? In pass-thru mode for the Q2 I could see the light being emitted by the infrared device however in the Q3 there seems to be no difference in the light quality with the infra-red light on or off. As my head set is new the I want to know if this is a fault and I need to return it.

Hi @zainuluk 🙂
I don't think your headset is faulty.
After the update v68 people reported the problem of "controllers are not waking up again after going to sleep"

Ok cool, I hope v69 fixes the issue and it is becoming a real pain in the backside.
Any view on the infra-red issue. Tracking is not improved in my infra-red light like it use to in Q2. Does Q3 not have this feature?

I'm not sure about your infrared light.
All I know is that it does not work in passthrough with Quest 3.
Maybe someone more tech savy than me will jump in here😂
