Just connected to steam link to play beat saber and it's so unplayable it's not even funny. Ever second it lags or freezes and like I said it's unplayable. Even steam vr home is beyond laggy, the world will like do a 180 because it freezes and me moving around, and the screen is so pixelated because nothing can load. Not pixelated, but you cant even make out what the screen is displaying.. This has happened before but never to this degree, it would always do it for a split second but then fix itself and only rarely lag, now it's literally every other second it's lagging. What can I do?
Don't know if you need my PC specs but its a 4070, some typa i9 dont know exactly and 16gb of ddr5.
Please help me, super bummed this is happening and love beat saber and the quest, I don't want to switch back to my like 8 year old vive but might have to if this keeps happening.
Im in an apartment so we have a login for our unit in the apartment, theres no router inside. My PC is plugged in through ethernet I plug it into a wall.
You are dependent on other peoples wifi usage then. Maybe a family of Netflix-obsessed teenagers has moved in nearby. You would be well advised to add a dedicated wifi5 (or better) router in access point mode to your ethernet connection.

I was just more concerned it was a hardware issue with the quest. Because like I said, it used to work with no lagging or chopping or any of that at all. And then one day I downloaded a bunch of quest+ games, played beat saber probably a week after that so its been a week or two since the last time I played when it was working perfectly.. and then like I said week later it is running terrible and it hasn't ran good since. Ive tried often since I posted this and every time it is extremely laggy, a hard part of the song will come and it freezes for a few seconds and I cant play at all.
Is the issue only happening on link? I upgraded my gpu recently and was having similar issues. Jt was because of steam vr had my frame rates to high. It could posdibly be a frame rate issue aswell because if it was a wifi issue it wouldnt just be through steam vr. It would be everything.
PCVR via wireless really needs a dedicated 5GHz access point to itself. It should be close to the headset too.
