Quest 3 Facial interface won't lock

Quest 3 facial interface distance setting will not lock. It returns to the closest setting every time I put it on regardless of the setting I've chosen on each side. I really need a solution or a replacement facial interface. As it is I can't use it at all.

Just got in contact with meta support and they sent me a new one. Did have to send them my broken one first.

For a bit of clarification on what exactly you're referring to on your headset, could you please share a detailed video showing the locking mechanism on your facial interface? This visual will be incredibly helpful, so we'd really appreciate it!

My facial interface on my quest 3 won’t lock. I wear glasses so I need it to stay out but when I put them on they don’t stay where I put them.

Hey @Vintage1956! Thanks for sharing that with us! We understand how the need for the facial interface to lock. Is the facial interface not locking on both sides or is it just one side of the headset? Also, can you send us the detailed video of the facial interface? That would help us better understand how to further assist. Hope to hear back from you soon.

I got it sent off. Thanks for responding though. Just waiting to get my new one back.

Hi @Vintage1956, we're following up regarding proof that the interface does not lock properly. To best advise, please provide us the following:

  • The last time the headset locked since activation
  • What changed to prevent from locking
  • Video Proof of faulty device

We'll stay tuned as we're happy to rectify before replacing! Hope to hear from you soon.
