Dear, I had a Quest 2 and I never had a problem with discharge, I charge it to 100 percent and after a few days when I turn it on it is still 100 percent, which is not the case with the Quest 3. The Quest 3 discharges by itself even though it is completely turned off. In the same way, the batteries in the controllers are discharged very quickly, they last only a few days until they reach 20 percent, which was not the case with the Quest 2 controllers, the batteries lasted for months.
I have read a lot on the net, everyone has problems with controllers, my opinion is that it is a software problem, but no one will say that.
It wouldn't be bad if you put in a little effort and correct the mistakes instead of giving people advice that doesn't help.

Same experience for me. I have not done much research, but seems to be less so if the elite strap with extra battery is not connected while turned off. But, controllers always dies on me, even only when using them for an hour'ish

Hey there, @Zvrgolija and @RavenStein. Being able to enjoy your device to its full potential is very important, and we'd be happy to look further into both your headsets. While the headset battery on its own should be getting 2 hours of gameplay, your controllers should be lasting longer then a few days with the batteries within.
Even with that being said, we see both of you have tested different options to improve your experience, so we would like to confirm the following:
We'd love to gather more of your feedback, and make any bug reports on the devices if needed.

Hi,

Same as RavenStein, I don't have extra accesories, whatever batteries I put in the controllers wear out very quickly, now I bought rechargeable batteries so I charge them when they wear out.
When Quest 3 is fully charged 100%, it works for about 2 hours, it all depends on what is being done, but it is not a problem, the problem is that when it is turned off, it consumes the battery, with Quest 2 I never had such a problem, if it is fully charged 100% even after a week days when I turn it on it is still 100%.

Hello @Zvrgolija, Thank you for drawing our attention to your concerns. Whereas we recognize that regular use of the Quest may produce some aging on the hardware, having to change the battery so frequently may be undesirable. However, as long as the controller is not suffering any actual issues, we recommend that you view the article here to properly clean the inside of the controller and use batteries that are not damaged in any way.
If your issue is ongoing, you may want to look into other options. You may also contact us by PM or email to discuss your warranty alternatives. click here for instructions on how to send us a PM. Please select our name to get to our profile page. Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message.
Please reach out to us if this issue persists so that we can figure out more options for you. We look forward to hearing back from you!

I don't know what you are talking about, what kind of hardware aging, Qeust is new, maybe used 10 - 15 times. The controller can't be dirty, especially not inside, I have new rechargeable batteries charged 4 times, they wear out very quickly even though I don't use the controllers. I still think there is some problem in the software for the controllers. If you want to solve it, if you don't you don't have to, that's the policy of your house. You don't even look at what people write on the net, they all have problems with discharging batteries in controllers. You can simply say that it is so and that you cannot fix it and that we don't think about it anymore, instead of writing typical answers on the forum.

@MetaQuestSupport new Quest 3 here also (2 months old), just used a couple of times, and already used 4 sets of Duracell battery's!
Standby/off mode for the controller is defiantly not working, my Logitech keyboard on the other hand that i am typing this on, still works with +2y old 2x AA battery's.

Hey there @player-x! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We definitely see where you're coming from here. The battery life on the Quest 3 controllers varies depending on the usage you're giving them, and they will definitely use more energy than a keyboard! If you believe they are running out faster than expected, please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here: https://metaque.st/CommunitySupport. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. We'll be waiting to hear from you!
