Quest 3 Left Speaker Arm broken

Hello Meta Support team,

The left speaker arm of my Quest 3 headset has broken off. How can I get the headset repaired?

I have tried to contact Meta Support via www.meta.com/de-de/help/support, but I always get an error message when I click on the Send button.

Is there any other way to contact you?

Left hing is broken due to poorly designed plastic part inside. Meta does not offer repairs. 

if in warranty, meta will issue a replacement.

If out of warranty, they will sell a refurbished unit for little bit less ( a discount of 40$).

3rd party will fix it for 170$ or less 

The out-of-warranty replacement is a way to turn a design flaw. Into a profitable scheme: you pay almost the full refurbished price, but they take the unit back so that they  fix  the little plastic ring and resell it again for double the profit.

I feel that users need to know about this design flaw and meta needs to do more for it.. support will pretend that this is not so common

JUST happened to my unit after 2 months on a new unit.  Frustrating.  Email to support, we’ll see how that goes. Hope your issue was addressed.

In January, after my Christmas vacation, I tried again to contact Meta Support via the online form. This time it worked.

Fortunately, after a few follow-up questions by email, Meta replaced my broken headset with a refurbished one at no extra cost.
