Quest 3 Link Cable Not Connecting via USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 Ports – Looking for a Solution

Hello all.
I recently purchased a Quest 3, along with the official link cable to hook up to my desktop computer. While the cable is doing a great job of charging my headset, it will not connect for data. I have a newer rig that (unfortunately) only has USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 2x2 ports. After several hours of toying around with support, I finally went online and discovered the issue with USB-C 3.2 gen 2 ports.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround to make these ports work with the quest link?

If not, my second question is whether it would be better to buy a PCIe 1x USB-C 3.0 card to plug into my motherboard, or should I get a USB-A to USB-C converter to use my fastest USB-A port?

I'm frustrated that this seems to have been a known issue for some time, yet Meta hasn't addressed it. Support wasn't even aware of it, and I spent hours with them before I figured it out on my own in the forums.

Thanks for your time and input!
