Quest 3 - Malfunctioning Facial Interface. Meta 'cannot' send a replacement interface... (UPDATED)

... they can only replace the entire Quest 3 headset (which works beautifully). 

I LOVE my Quest 3. I use it everyday for at least an hour and have had (next to) zero problems with it, with one exception...

One side of my Quest 3 facial interface will not lock in an extended position. This normally doesn't bother me since I don't wear glasses when I play. But when others with glasses use it (as we all like to evangelize the good news of VR to our friends by having others enjoy our Q3s amirite?), I can't get the right side of the Facial Interface to lock. Lots of clicking and the button gets stuck, but won't actually lock in position. Left side works great. 

I chat with a Meta CSR who starts to set up a replacement for my Quest 3. The entire headset. He (very apologetically) tells me they cannot send me a replacement facial interface, and I'll be without my Quest 3 for at least 2 weeks. Am I crazy for feeling that's totally unacceptable? 

Meta, please just send me a functional facial interface without making me send my entire Quest 3 back. I know you have a pile of returned Quest 3's sitting there with perfectly good parts.

UPDATE - After reading a post by Andy7K who went through this situation and was sent a replacement Interface, I decided to take another shot at speaking to a CSR, who then admitted there was a misunderstanding on their side, and they will infact send me a replacement facial interface. 

So, problem solved!

I am also having this issue the left side of my facial interface will not lock into place

I just bought my Quest 3 and although I love it, I also have the same problem, and here it is on the left side. Unfortunately I don't know what to do, since I'm from Brazil and what I paid for it was something around R$ 4000 (which would be USD 4000 (We have to work a lot in Brazil to be able to buy it).

Hello there, @icedomega13! We'd like to do everything we can to make sure you're having a comfortable VR gaming experience, so we want to do our best to assist! For this type of issue, we can recommend checking that your facial interface is lined up properly with the headset, and that you're pushing the adjustment buttons firmly and simultaneously. We also suggest making sure there isn't any debris getting in the way from locking your facial interface into place. By the way, we do want to let you know that since Brazil is not among Meta's supported countries, our options are pretty limited in what steps we can take to remedy this situation. If those above troubleshooting steps don't work out, you may need to do some research on your side to see what options are available to you in your specific country. Regardless, we hope this helps and we were glad to check into this situation for you!

I give up, I saw on some forums about people who had the same problem and lived in the USA and you did the replacement without getting theirs back, and mine is even more difficult, but thanks anyway. I will return the Quest 3 to the store and buy a Pico 4, anyway, thanks for your attention.

I also have a problem with the facial interface. In my VR set, the button is not stuck, but when adjusting (I wear glasses), one of the buttons does not keep the face plate in the extended position (fourth dot), but moves to the minimum position (first dot). Is there anything that can be done about this? I live in Poland.
