Quest 3 Stuck in EDL after OTA, support refuses any solution that isn't paying $450 for a new one

My headset decided to brick itself without any user interaction about 3 weeks ago, I assume on v74 but certainly a v70-something, and support has been giving me the run-around ever since.

It started as a boot-and-hang issue where it would show the initial boot logo but never chime or actually loop. I was already having software issues and v72 was *supposed* to be resolved so I went ahead and factory reset the device, which made the brick even worse because now the charging LED doesn't come on.

However, the device DOES boot into EDL by golding Vol Down, Vol Up, and Power while inserting a USB2 cable into my computer. So the device is still serviceable by a technician, but only Meta has EDL firehoses. But for some reason support refuses to actually service my existing device because it's out of warranty, even though it just needs a simple NAND reprovisioning. Anyone have any suggestions?

Love how the support bot didn't even bother lol, great support guys. Still haven't found anyone that doesn't just tell me to enter recovery even though I can't.

I'm just gonna be an obnoxious **bleep** and bump this thread, I still can't believe Meta support doesn't have *any* repair options for simple update bricks, that's actually insane. At least sketchy phone OEMs get their firehoses leaked so repair technicians can step in and fix things.

@shinyquagsire23 you need to to the @MetaQuestSupport  thing or click on one of their profiles and send a message. Then prepare for the onslaught of mindless bot responses.
