Quest 3 Updating problem

Hello everyone
 
I have a problem updating my meta quest 3 goggles.
 
When turning off the update screen indicates that an update is taking place and the device will turn off after updating. After a dozen or so hours (>10 hours) the device is still updating.
 
A simple restart of the device does not give any results.
 
I tried to update the device using the online update tool. I paired the device with the computer but after about 5% of the progress the page shows an update error and tells me to contact the Meta support department.
 
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Hey everyone!
 
Whilst I am yet to hear back with an official update from the engineering team (they are incredibly busy) it appears that this issue has been resolved!
 
If you haven't done so already, could you please attempt the update process once again and see if it now works on you end?

I have exactly the same problem. When i try to update with wifi the update get stuck at 8% when i update with the computer it get stuck at 20% and then give an error 

Please help

Having this exact problem right now, the headset is currently bricked and I need it for work 😕

The sideload reaches 10% and errors out on both my PC and Mac on multiple browsers.

Same problem here, whether it's from device or sideload. It's blocking our clients as well

Here are some troubleshooting steps we'd like you to try:

  1. Ensure that you have enough storage space in your Quest headset, as sometimes the Software Updates can be substantial in size and may require enough space in your Quest Device.
  2. Try a different supported browser, Chrome, Edge, and or Opera
  3. Remove Elite Strap with Battery or any third-party accessories from the headset. If you are using an Elite Strap with Battery or other headset accessories please remove it from the headset before attempting to connect the headset to the computer.
  4. Check USB connection. Ensure that you are using a high-quality USB-C cable capable of data transfer for connecting your Meta Quest headset to the computer. The cable provided with your headset will suffice.
  5. Confirm headset software version. Prior to updating your headset manually, verify that it is running the appropriate software. To find the current build number in the headset, navigate to Settings > System > Software Update. It is possible that your device already has the latest version installed.
  6. Try another computer and cable. In the event that none of these steps resolve the issue, attempt connecting your Meta Quest headset to a different computer or try a different USB-C cable that can support data to determine whether the problem is related to the headset itself, the original computer, or the USB connection.

I have same problem.
Quest 3 update doesn't work and sideload update from web doesnt' work either. 
Sideload update get stuck at 21%

Mine also exactly at 21%

Hey @Pepijn2012  and @superjamppaa @Synergiz , I solved the issue on my end.

The headset AND the sideload app hung when trying to download over my broadband line.

For me, connecting the headset to my phone via hotspot and downloading over my mobile network allowed both my PC and the headset to progress the download and complete it.  My headset's now unbricked.

Appears there's something going on with the connection to Meta's servers over certain providers today

Hopefully this can help you out as well!

Mine is still broken.
I think my phone operator uses same routes etc. than my fiber connection.
Meta's server has something going on, or routes.
