I've tried recording on several different games - all with mic permissions enabled, but no matter what I do, it won't record my voice. Can someone help with this or do I need to use an external mic like an Antlion, etc.? (I'd prefer not to have to do that and would rather just use the Quest 3 mic if I could get it to work.)
i have tried using the recording of the right hand pinch. however even if the mic is enabled it does not record my mic. but using the record in settings works. does that mean i have to go to settings first to record while im currently in game? that's kinda hassle. i'm hoping the pinch features will be fixed

I would rather have see this ticket to be tracked rather than posted in the forum like in github issues. If the said feature is ongoing or merged rather than posting in the feature request.
Most feature request on the forum are non-meta feature (they need an app not a fix) which I believe you’ll find absurd and there is a lot of them. So I’m sure that this request will just be ignored or will be unread. I’ll just leave this feature request here as it is more appropriate to the topic.

Hey @Hasko7 and @MetaQuestSupport it's just going to Settings-Apps-Permissions-Microphone and allow it there. I had the same issue and then I went there and allowed Mic for every App and it works. 🙂
No matter what I do reset, enable, permissions I still can’t hear my self nor my friends., it says it’s all enable but it doesn’t record my audio. From a quest 3

Yes, thanks, that's right. My complaint is that they also offer a UI feature to hold the Oculus button down and press and hold the trigger, to start video recording. But this procedure doesn't enable the microphone, and if you try to manually adjust the microphone setting, it doesn't work. So it's too easy to do a video recording with audio narration, but not capture any of the audio. That's my complaint.
