Quest 3 Youtube Live Chat - Cant find my account

I am trying to set my Quest 3 for YouTube Live with the comments and I can't even get to the point of starting the live because when I try to search my account it does not appear as a result. Sometimes it will even find an account that doesn't even seem to be related to what I searched, but never my account. Lastly if I search something and nothing comes back, but then I leave the window, when I go back into the setup It would have attached an account. I have attached screenshots of my youtube channel IDs, the steps & examples of what I searched for related to my YouTube account. I have also listed everything I searched for below. A couple months ago I changed my ID from CassDM, so I even tried searching that. My Feature eligibility on youtube is Level 3 Advanced Features. I have tried reinstalling youtube; uninstalling youtube completely, restarting & reinstalling; signing out and back in the app as well as the Oculus browser. Nothing is working. Please help to get this working correctly so that I can connect my account.

Hey @Cassaundra! I'm not too sure what you're trying to do.

1. Are you not able to livestream to the YouTube app?
2. Are you unable to sign in with your account?
3. Are you trying to use the app or the web browser to locate your account?

If you could please explain the outcome you're looking for in a bit more detail, it would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to hearing back from you!

I thought I did explain it in detail. I typed every thing I tried. The very 1st sentence explains what I am trying to do. It comes on the headset by default & it's shown in the attachments.  I am trying to "Cast to browser & youtube chat". Do you see the screenshots? Are you not familiar with the feature? I'm not sure where you're confused with everything I shared....

I'm not too familiar with the feature, but I think it may prove useful to change your YouTube username to something different, one that isn't close to any other channel names, to have a better chance of other people's YouTube accounts not showing up. Also, it may be worth reaching out to YouTube Support to see if there is any settings on your account that may be blocking your account from showing up. Sorry I can't be of more assistance, I'll keep looking for more steps to try 🙂

IMO the YouTube casting is kinda poorly implemented anyways, the casting feature doesn't connect with your account as it never asks for your YT Stream Key for security purposes. When I tried YT casting the other night for the first time my channel search came up fine @GruntledGaming and also I searched "Gruntled Gaming". I have not signed in the the Quest YT app with my credentials so I don't think that matters for being signed into YT on the Quest.

It seems like whatever YT channel you search for and enter in there, it lets you just view the live chat window. It doesn't even have to be your own channel!

I just tested and searched for Cassaundra's @CassaundraLtd in the Quest Go Live casting window and it didn't come with a search result either.
But when I went on the PC and searched for the same @CassaundraLtd, the channel name came right up. So it must be some weird issue with the quest casting functionality/search why Cassaundra is not able to find her channel?

Thank you for that added troubleshooting! I'm new to this and want to start streaming. Do you have a better way I suggest doing this where I can see the comments? Or in your opinion does it even matter and maybe I should just glance at my PC for those?

as Meta support, Are you able to view the support tickets I've submitted??? I am not getting a response. I really want to get this figured out and blaming it on youtube is Lazy when searching on youtube I dont have the issue. Even another user in this thread tried. I'd like to see my live chat comments.

I can't unfortunately. @MetaQuestSupport can look into your case through a private message though. You can PM them by going to their account and selecting the blue button that says "Send a Message". Hey Cassaundra, 

Are you opening an interactive web browser in obs, signing in with your meta account and then clicking the cast+youtube feature, make sure the stream key is inputted, then go live with the stream set to public?

Don’t forget to go to the boot menu by pressing the volume down and power button from an off state then go to boot device.

i think that’s what I had to do as well.
