Quest 3 being returned - barely any haptics makes playing games horrible

Why are the haptics on the 3 so low ? it completely throws of my game play. Every iteration you half the haptics. 1 was stronger than 2 and now 2 is double what 3 is , its so low when i play archery games its barely noticeable and makes playing challenging as I need to know where the pull is on the bow . Its horrible - def sending my headset back if there is no immediate fix

Hello, @ArcaneParadigm. We appreciate you reaching out to us regarding your concerns about the Quest 3 controller vibration. If you haven't already, we suggest trying to adjust the vibration intensity settings on your device to see if that makes a difference. Additionally, please keep in mind that a low battery can affect the feedback you experience, so it might be helpful to try changing the battery and see if you notice any changes. If you are using rechargeable batteries, it's also worth noting the difference in vibration intensity when the battery is newly charged versus after some use. We hope these suggestions help improve your experience.

Did you ever resolve the issue? I'm having the same problem.

nope its the lack in the controller - none of those things are it - the quest 2 was half the haptics of the quest 1 and now youve done it again and made that haptics feel even weaker which makes the vr experience far less enjoyable . I couldnt even play my archery games cuz the feel of the bow was horrible - i sent my quest 3  back will stick with 2 until a better headset comes out

I don't think it's in the controllers themselves because I have the same problem when I use Quest Pro controller with my Quest 3-- the haptics are weak, but the same controllers work perfectly fine on Quest 2.

that only means theres a similarity but not that its the same problem - it could be but it def maynot be

I'm describing the exact same problem you are: weak haptics on Q3.  You're suggesting that you (somehow) know that the root cause is a hardware deficiency when in fact you have no idea what the root cause actually is.  You have no idea whether it's hardware-related at all.  You're completely speculating, which is my point.

your also speculating so ??? causation does not imply correlation ur making assumptions I'm not - i have direct experience going from quest 1 to 2 haptics  dropped never got fixed  and then to 3 haptics got alot weaker - thats experiential data urs is just speculation - thats all i said - will see if it ever gets fixed to the level of the quest 2 - the quest 2 never got back to the level of the quest 1

Quest 2 aways had decent haptics. It was worse quality than the haptics on the quest 1 but they felt stronger than the Q1 did. And with the improved battery life I was greatly appreciated.

Quest 3 haptics feel very good they are just weaker. i'm happy with the way that they feel and they are the best that oculus has had

When operating properly, the Quest 3 haptics are fine.  But there's some issue causing the haptics to be very weak in some cases on Q3 and that's the issue we're experiencing.
