I'm on my third full replacement system under warranty after buying a Quest 3 in July. The system is fine one night and then the next day when we turn it on the right controller analog stick thinks it is always being pressed down and to the right and won't respond to any movement of the actual analog stick.
First time I got the store to swap it.
Second time I went through the process with Meta support and the controller ended up in a failed firmware update state and was unrecoverable, so I took it back to the store and they swapped it for a new system.
Here I am 1 to 2 weeks later and the same issue has occurred.
What is going on?!?

Interesting. I bought a Q3 a couple of days ago and my right controller acts like it was already used for years. The stick is not firm but it is like the springs keeping the stick in place are already worn out.
Also the trigger scratches like on my old XBox controller.

Hi dedmoin,
We noticed you're having issues with your right controller.
This is not the experience we want for our users, so we'd love to help you out here!
Here are some quick troubleshooting steps to try:
- Clean the controller
- Compressed air can be used to remove any debris inside the controller
- Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect button movement or controller detection. For example, controller covers, controller attachments, etc.
- Remove the battery from the controller for 30 seconds. Try a new battery.
- Unpair and pair the controller to the headset
If you are still having issues after trying these steps, please shoot us a DM so we can look into this further for you!

Thanks for your reply MetaQuestSupport but this is a brand new controller, not dirty, no accessoirs ...
And I doubt that changing batteries or pairing the controller again with the headset will improve the physical condition of the controller.

I just got my 3s in the mail and having this exact same problem. Meta you freaking suck because your answers are always the same and aren't fixing anything. I sure as heck ain't paying shipping for the return of the entire headset when you could just send me a new controller

Following up...
- I cleaned the controller with a rechargable air duster.
- We don't use any third party accessories
- I have tried removing the batteries for 30 seconds and trying alternate batteries
- I have completed unpairing and re-pairing the malfunctioning controller
The issue persists.
