Quest 3 controller not working after latest update.

I just finished a game of eleven table tennis. Then when I wanted to turn it off, it finished the update first before it could turn off. Not long after I turned it on again, suddenly my controller was like in the picture. The buttons work fine. But my controller can't be tracked.I tried all the ways suggested by meta customer service, none of them worked. The update has broken my controller.I've been on the public test update on v71, it updates the controller firmware, but it's still the same. I feel like the hardware is broken by the update. The infrared lights in the photo are not all on. That's what makes me think the update has damaged the hardware.

Meta store support was offered me a replacement, sadly my region is unsupported 🥲

@John_Christian77  have you done a factory reset on the hand controller?

Solved: Re: quest 3 controller not working at all - Meta Community Forums - 1107964

If that fails, it may be worth waiting for the V72 PTC update to roll out and see if that fixes the issue.

Four Rift CV1s, Quest 2, Quest 3, Lenovo Explorer WMR.

I just have tried repairing,

i have tried to factory reset the controller but, when i hold the A button and press the meta button 5 times , Nothing happened, no flashing lights or orange lights.

Yeah, hopefully it's just a software issue. 🥲

@John_Christian77  it seems that the info that meta put out on the controller factory reset isn't working for a lot of people. It may be worth trying to unpair the controller from the headset using the mobile app and then trying the controller factory reset - Cant Factory Reset Controllers. Can anyone else? : r/oculus

Still not work, the controller is unpaired, factory reset the controller still do nothing

The COntroller fix by it self. now right controller is good.

the left controller can be tracked but the button not functioning. but in game the button was functioning well.

the left fingger trigger are kinda eror, if i press the finger trigger , the grip trigger will be pressed as well. make me cant hold a gun in pavlov.

Hi there,

We can absolutely appreciate that not being able to hold a gun in a 5v5 can be a bit of setback, so we would love to help you get this sorted out.

We would firstly suggest trying the following general steps;

  • Clean the controller
    • Compressed air can be used to remove any debris inside the controller
  • Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect button movement or controller detection. For example, controller covers, controller attachments, etc.
  • Remove the batteries for 30 minutes. Try new batteries.

If the trigger still sticks for you after that then please Private Message us, and we can look into other alternatives for you.

Thanks.
