Ever since I’ve gotten my Quest 3 I’ve noticed that the controller tracking is a downgrade from the Quest 2. If I’m playing Gorilla tag or other games that require fast movements my controllers always disconnect or glitch. This also doesn’t just happen in games that require fast movements. In Pavlov my controllers will glitch out sometimes. Before I start getting told to check and see if anything is blocking the cameras, nothing is. I have no accessories for my controllers. Both batteries are healthy and good. I hope this issue can be resolved because it is annoying.

Hey @GoldenHolden24! We hope you're having a great day today! Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We know it's no fun to not be able to use our devices to their full capacity so we would love to help getting this issue resolved for you. Luckily, we do have a couple of troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the controller issues. With that being said, can you please try these troubleshooting steps if you haven't already?
By default, the headset will use 6DoF tracking, unless it has been turned off in the Guardian settings panel or lost tracking while in VR.
We've seen these steps help people out in the past with the same issue you're having. However, if you're still having trouble after trying those steps, please don't hesitate to reach back out and let us know. We'll also be here if you have any other questions or concerns.

Unfortunately the Quest 3 tracking has some issues.
First, losing the tracking ring means its much harder for the cameras to see the controllers.
Second, two of the invisible tracking lights are under the edge of the thumb rest. If your thumb isn't over the buttons/thumbstick, it is most likely blocking 2 tracking LEDs.
Third, to make up for the lack of tracking ring, the Quest 3 uses hand tracking to try to guess where the controller is. But if you don't hold the controller in the expected way, its going to get confused.
Fourth, the tracking coverage of the cameras is more downwards, there's less over the head coverage so tracking controllers there will be worse.
I do like the Touch Plus controllers for games like Arizona Sunshine 2 (since the tracking rings on the earlier controllers get in the way of reloading pistols), but I've had more tracking issues with them than earlier models.
(It's a shame we can't use Quest 2 controllers on the Quest 3)
