Is anyone else’s quest 3 fan running really loud even when not playing any games? Not sure if this is a normal thing or if I should exchange it for a different one.
Hey everyone! The team has gotten back to me and it looks like they've recommended making sure you're on the latest version (Settings > System > Software Update).
If you are, and you're still having a loud fan issue I do suggest you reach out to the support team through a ticket. I'm sure they'll be able to provide some further assistance with your headset fan.
Mine is also pretty loud even when not playing games. It’s not crazy loud but loud enough to hear it even when I have the volume up a little. Mine gets super hot and I don’t know if that is normal or not.
My fans runs pretty loud as well. Enough that I was wondering where the sounds was coming from when I wasn't even wearing it. I'm hoping it's because it was downloading updates and that sort of thing, working really hard. If it's that loud all the time, that will be disappointing.
well, it's running (fan). not that loud, but I couldn't remember fan running on my Quest 2 at all. I even thought initially that Quest 2 only has passive cooling. Quest 3 is running hot and turning the fan on for quite some time even while just browsing in quest menus. It's new unit I haven't even launched any app yet. was just going through the initial setup, installing apps etc.
