Hello. I have an issue and not sure if it’s hardware or a bug.
my quest 3 with pro controllers loses tracking and restarts after 30 minutes to a hour. I suspect it’s when it gets warm.
first time it happened was in les mills when tracking started going weird which caused me to almost fall to the ground. The headset then restarted. 5 minutes later it restarted again, so I turned it off and put it on charge as battery was around 40%
second time it happened was in virtual desktop while I was watching a movie with a battery attached to the charge port. Same thing happened after I got half way through a 2 hour movie, it restarted and 5 minutes later it did it again. it did it 3 times before I gave up and turned it off.
next day I reset the headset and it did it again tonight, the same thing while watching a movie with virtual desktop with airlink (wireless).
I have put the headset on 90hz and also put the brightness down to try stop heat, but I do feel the headset getting warm.
does anyone know if this is a bug or something possibly more serious?

I'm having the same issue lately. I be just in the main home environment. After 30min or so I start randomly getting tracking list messages for the headset. It will freeze for a sec and display the message. Then find tracking again. I'm using the regular controllers. I've tried turning off options to troubleshoot. Like double tap and hand swap. Nothing helps. I bought the headset from Meta and opened a ticket.

I think you might be having a slightly different problem. My headset is restarting because of it. No option to turn it off. Plus I do t want to.

Yes possibly. Meta support had me redo my boundaries. Also reset and I turned the Tracking frequency from Auto to 60Hz. Because lights here in usa work on 60Hz. So far no more tracking issues. If it happens again Ill respond back.

It’s not the controllers, they are fine. It’s the headset. It’s fine with light use, though haven’t used it as heavy since and not experienced the restarting. But on my day off I will be back and see if it still happens. If it does, then I will send it back for another one.
