Quest 3 hud / recentering too up high.

I have noticed something odd with my quest 3. All huds seem to be too up high (something  like 30 degrees up) and when recentering the view on any app or game it always also centers  way up high. (The headset is propperly adjusted and I am looking straight)

That is annoying and affects all games, because the hud ends up on the peripheral  view portion.

I've seem others on reddit complaining about the same issue, but no solutions.

This behaviour is easily seem when I cast the quest to some device. The view on the cast os also tilted up as if it detects the user is looking up even when looking straight  ahead.  Which makes casting useless since the view is basically looking at the ceiling.

Also the behaviour can be clearly seem when turning off the quest 3. There is that guiding dot to select between turning off or restarting. When looking straight ahead the dot can be seem 30 degrees up.

Looks like a factory callibration issue. Is there any way to recalibrate this sensor or hud? Cannot find anything on the matter.

I have the same problem.

For example in Iron Man, Resident Evil 4 and Vader Immortal. When you try to read the subtitles you have to look so far up that it hurts. If you just lift your head, everything just moves further up.

Hey, @Nevsksar and @Frunkiboy! We understand how having the HUD view not aligned with you looking straight ahead can take away from your VR experience. We want to help you get this corrected as soon as possible! We do suggest performing a factory reset on the headset. Please make sure cloud backup is enabled; this way, you can resume your app progress. If you are still experiencing this issue once the reset has been completed, please send us a private message so we can look into this a bit deeper for you. To do so, please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. We hope to hear from you soon!

I have the same issue and have done a factory reset. Not sure what else I can try. Attached an example. In order to get the circle to be in the center I have to actually look down to about where the brake lock text is

Hi all. I just got my Quest 3 today and have been having the same problem. I tried a factory reset but it didn't resolve the issue. Some HUD elements are too high up, i.e. not vertically centered. For example, the meta logo when you reset your view, or the quick menu hud in Asgard 2, although there are many other examples I could tout. Really frustrating because besides this glaring issue it has been quite fun, but can't properly enjoy myself yet. Will have to try swapping my unit at Argos if I can't find a fix.

Hi there, @MLee151! We recognize how disappointing it might be to have to struggle to see properly in VR, so we would love to look into this issue for you! When you get a chance, could you please send us a PM? You can select our name to get to our profile page, or click here. From there, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Keep in mind, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hey everyone. So I've tried using my Quest 3 more, and although certain UI elements still seem too high (mainly the 3 loading dots), I've found my experience to be great when in game; just tried out pavlov Shack and all the menus in that game seem to be fine. The only systems level UI issue I've noticed is the animated 3 loading dots icon, but then again maybe it's supposed to be slightly higher than dead centre? And the quick menu in Asgard 2 was way too high, but perhaps that can be fixed by an update.

I hope whoever has been experiencing issues can reach a resolution! 🙏
