Quest 3 lagging when connecting to pc

I've tried finding my exact issue in these forums but couldn't find anything,
When I connect my quest 3 to my PC with the quest link cable (wired usb 3.0) it lags very very bad quite often, it will be fine for about a minute or 2 then it will get frozen or lag very badly for about 15 seconds then come back and repeat.
There are rare occasions where I don't have these lag spikes, and even then, i only have 30 FPS on vrchat in my own world. 

I am using ethernet, I am using a link cable, I have also tried this with air link and have still lagged the same, this has been happening for a long time now and i tried so many things and couldn't find a fix.

PC Specs: RTX 3070 FE, i5-13600K, 32GB DDR4 RAM, even when looking at my usage in task manager, nothing seems unusually high or low.

PS, Not trying to blame the headset, just trying to find the root of the issue possibly

We understand you’re experiencing some lagging issues while connecting to your PC. We know how frustrating it can be when it lags in the middle of a game. Before we provide troubleshooting steps, can you please let us know the following:

  • What error message, if any, do you see?
  • When did you first notice this behavior?
  • Did any of your devices (phone, headset, PC) receive any updates?

Please test the basic functionality by navigating menus and launching an app.

 Additionally, try another compatible cable, if possible:

  • Included USB Charging Cable
  • Meta Quest Link Cable

Is an adapter or cable extender being used? If so, please remove any adapters from the headset. If your PC does not have the necessary ports (HDMI for Rift, Display Port for Rift S), and an adapter is required, try using the adapter with the monitor instead of the headset when possible.
