Quest 3 malfunction

Aelsafin

My Quest 3, which I purchased in January 2025 has suddenly refused to open when I place the headset on - it just shows the "meta symbol" spinning and does a 3 pitched ring over and over again. I have tried turning it on and off, etc, nothing works.  Can anyone assist? It is still under warranty. Thank you  6 May 2025

Hi @Aelsafin

We're just dropping by to offer some support for your pesky boot issue!

Firstly - we'd like to give you a very warm welcome to the Metaverse! Perhaps not the introduction to VR that you were hoping for but rest assured, we will set things straight so you may enjoy the Metaverse in full!

Let's take a look into some troubleshooting steps for this boot issue:

1. Hard Reboot

  1. Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. If your headset doesn't automatically turn back on, press the power button until your headset has turned back on.

2. Ensure that the face sensor is clear of obstruction

  1. Check the face sensor (between the lenses on the facial interface)
  2. Ensure that nothing is obstructing it and that it is clean. Use a dry microfiber cloth if it requires cleaning.

If you have tried both of these steps and the issue is still happening, please reach out to us privately!
