Quest 3 microphone not working with linkcable

Hi all,

I have an issue, my microphone is not working via the link cable.  It works when using the quest 3 directly just not connected to a pc.  I am trying to use voice attack software. The microphone works when using virtual desktop.

I have factory reset my quest 3, reinstalled the oculas app on my pc.  All my microphone settings in windows 10 are correct, and thr pc sees the oculus mic, the microphone has access to the apps and is the default device.

I get 2.8 gbps via my link cable and video / game streaming with game audio is perfect.

The samenPC always worked with my quest 2.  Pc is Ryzen 9 - 5900 x, 64 GB ram, 6800 xt 

I have searched online forums for a fix or solution and nothing has worked.  Any help is greatly appreciated l.

Hey there, @Darkslinky007! We were combing through our posts and saw that you were receiving issues with PCVR on your Quest 3, so we wanted to jump in and provide some assistance. Thank you for letting us know what troubleshooting steps you have already attempted, as we do not want to overdue anything! 

  • Has this ever worked previously for you?
  • If it has worked previously, was it on a previous generation of Quests?
  • Since this worked for your Quest 2, does your logs show that there are anything different in compatibility for your Quest 3?

We are looking forward to your response, and getting this towards a resolution as soon as possible.
