I’ve been recording clips on my Quest 3 since November 2024, all in 16x9, with no issue. Since March of 2025, my Quest 3 will no longer apply the recording options I’ve set in the Camera app.
It defaults to the original square format and I’ve been trying everything I can to fix it. I upload my videos to YouTube, so it’s keeping me from covering new games at the moment.
Is anyone else having this issue? It doesn’t matter if I start the recording from the Camera app or the shortcut on the Menu from in-game. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
@KevinTheMurphy have you tried toggling the settings back and forth and re-starting the headset to try and get it to change. Have you tried changing the format using the Sidequest or Quest Games Optimiser app

Thanks, it turned out it was an issue with Quest Games Optimizer. One of its updates must have reset the video recording options within QGO and they seem to override the Quest’s standard settings when in use.
