Quest 3 right controller issues

Hi,

I was on holiday for 2 weeks. My Quest 3 was turned off during that time.

Meanwhile the Oculus App on my iPhone updated to the new Meta Horizon App.

Since I came back, the right controller has weird issues. Sometimes it's not working at all and I have to go through the whole controller un-/pairing procedure. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I changed the battery, I tried to reset the controller (A Button and five times home button, but that doesn't work at all) and un-/pairing the controller several times.

During several pairings the controller firmware updated twice. Firmware version is 1.19.1, same as the left one.

In games sometimes the connection ist stable, sometimes not (then the virtual controller is floating somewhere), sometimes it loses the connection completely and doesn't come back.

But every time when I put on my headset, the right controller doesn't work and does a flashing SOS signal.

System software is v67.

What happened and how can I solve this?

Now I had the same problem. SOS flashing, unpairing controller, pairing again, the firmware updated again, then it said the controller is connected, but in the Phone App there is no battery status and it doesn't show the firmware version.

When I put on the headset, the virtual controller shows up shortly, then it's losing the connection, then connecting again for some seconds, then it's dead and the SOS flashing is there again.

I took out the battery, put it in again, put on the headset and the controller was there. After some seconds it lost the connection, connected again by itself and the connection was stable (tested for just a minute or so).

I played about one hour The Infinite Inside and lost the connection to the right controller several times. Sometimes it came back by pressing some buttons but 4 times it lost the connection completely. My only workaround right now is to remove the battery put it back in and hope the connection will be stable for a longer time.

I removed the battery of the controller overnight, put it back in the morning with the same result. It's connecting, you can see the virtual controller for some seconds, then again SOS flashing.

Now I also reinstalled the Meta Horizon App and paired the controller again. It made a firmware update again, don't know how often the controller updated its firmware in the last 24 hours, anyway it's always version 1.19.1.

Of course the issue is still the same. I wonder what happened in the last 2 weeks when my headset was completely turned off. Before I had no connection issues at all. The only thing that changed was the new Meta Horizon App.

So I really tried to do everything. At this point I would like that somebody from Meta contacts me for a replacement controller.

I don't know what went wrong.

The support said I should send back the controller. I did this with the shipping label they sent me. They received the package, accepted it and told me I will receive a tracking number within the next 5-7 business days.

After 10 days I received an email that my order was cancelled without a reason.

Instead of sending me a working controller within my warranty period they suddenly refused sending even a refurbished one.

I am a long time customer from Oculus/Meta and was always very happy with the customer support but this leaves me speechless.

Can somebody from Meta please care about this?
