Hi. Per the Subject, this is driving me nuts. As soon as I take the headset off, it goes to sleep. It messes up the running app, changes centre, puts you in the ground, etc., etc., etc. No settings work; it seems to ignore everything. Timer settings make no difference, Auto-wake on or off makes no difference, tape on the sensor doesn't work. I've searched here but found barely any reference to it, yet it's all over Reddit, but unfortunately, with no resolution I can find. I want to just control it manually from the power button on the headset. I don't want it to turn off unless I turn it off. Is there any way to do this? Any help greatly appreciated.
There are a few ways to disable the proximity sensor. Some apps can do it like Sidequest and Quest Game Optimizer. Unfortunately though you also need to unlock the developer settings in the headset for them to work.
Thanks for the reply. I do have dev mode on so I could get around some guardian crap. I'll try playing with SideQuest, but it's rather irksome that this isn't just supported natively in the headset already. Also, I don't get why the timers don't work. If the headset would even just stay on for 5 minutes after removing it, which is how I have it set, I could live with that. Do you know, do the timers not work because of a bug?
