Quest 3 unable to update apps

Arkelath
Protege

Hello,

Some very interesting updates are available for apps and games but my quest 3 ignores any updates. The last one was 22 days ago. I can start apps or games but I can’t find updates.
My quest has the last update. Meta quest app is updated on my PC. But I can’t update installed apps.

Thanks for any help!

There can be a few reasons why your Meta Quest 3 might be unable to update apps. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:-

1. Internet Connection:- Make sure your Quest 3 is connected to a stable internet connection. A weak or interrupted signal can prevent updates from downloading.
2. Storage Space:- Ensure you have enough free storage space on your Quest 3 for the app update. Delete unnecessary games, apps, or media to free up space if needed.
3. Restart Quest 3:- A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches that might be hindering updates. Hold down the power button until the power menu appears, then select "Restart".
Automatic Updates:-

  • Enabled Status:- Verify that automatic updates are enabled for your Quest 3. You can check this in Settings > System > Software Update.
  • Power Option:- If automatic updates are enabled, double-check that "Automatically power headset to update" is also turned on. This allows updates to download and install even when your headset is powered off.

Manual Updates:-

  • App Library: While automatic updates are preferred, you can also try updating apps manually. Go to the App Library on your Quest 3. Locate the app that's not updating and look for an "Update" option or a download button next to it.

Thanks for your help.
The problem was that the quest 3 changed the installation path for apps to the wrong SSD without any reason. I changed it and the problem is fixed now.

For me, I can just start downloading but it won't update and just stays on queued

Hey there, @fluffzilla08 and welcome to the community forums!

In regards to the issue with queued downloads, have you tried any of the above troubleshooting from @EmillaDustin?

If so, and it's still not working then you can try uninstalling he app and downloading it again. Also make sure you've updated your headset and are on V69 as this can fix a lot of issues .

What do you mean ? the Wrong SSD... Quest heastets dont use a external SSD drive..Eberything is stored to the SSD drivre inside of the headset, This is not a Samsung Galaxy phone ffs
