Quest 3 won't pair even after trying everything, resets, redownloads etc

Received my Quest 3 this morning and it doesn't pair, even after several factory resets, installing new apps on iphone and ipad and trying to pair from both. Didn't work, even after several factory resets.  I was chatting to support for over an hour on-line, nothing, she could not help either. I have deleted my quest 1, thinking there could be a conflict, but no, I chacked all the connections, WIFI, Blutooth, went in to different rooms, placet it right next to the rooter. Nothing. No pairing. No support. No headset so far.

Hi everyone, if you're having trouble pairing your Quest 3, there are a few things we'd suggest to start with.

1. Make sure your Meta Quest app is on most recent version, at least v233.4. This is the most important step as there's a new version of the app available today to be used with Quest 3.

2. Try fully force closing and restarting the app if you're still having trouble after updating.

3. Try adding your headset using a different mobile device. We've noticed some trouble with Sony Xperia mobile devices, and the pairing step requires a strong BLE connection. So make sure you've got Bluetooth on and your phone and headset are close together.

Ok, I finally did. First of all I made sure it was 100% charged and powered up. After I came back a few hours later, I did a factory reset, deleted the apps from my iPhone and installed the latest version. (Had the headset right next to my iPhone, but not sure if that made a difference). It’s up and running now. Perhaps Meta released a new update today because so many people received their Quest 3 today.

Same problem here: "Looking for headset..."

The headset displays a 5-digit code, but I don't know where to enter it...

Is it safe to do a factory reset?

Thanks for the info. I couldn't wait and tried a factory reset... but now the fans are blowing and the screen has gone blank. Is there a way to get out of this?

Just give it a few minutes, a factory reset is safe and shouldn't take too long. It should have already been in a factory reset state.

Same problem here. I get a 5 digit pin code, but after I enter it in my (updated) app, I always get a message that I can't find the device.

Can you try restarting your headset? If that doesn't work, you can also try Factory Resetting it. It's also important during that step that your headset has a lot of power and that you keep your phone and headset close while it'sin process.

I am having the same issue. The app on my android phone is up to date and the code is not working. Here is what I tried

1. checked update on Android phone app to current.
2. restarted both phone and quest 3
3. factory reset on quest 3
Still stuck on the pairing screen with the code not working.

Same as well, every troubleshoot from past articles did nothing. Perhaps the fact so many are experiencing it means its not on us and its an internal thing?
