So I'm on v69 and found out that there is very annoying audio bug in Quest 3S. When using USB-C port for headphones there is a lot of audio glitches when browsing menus etc. Opening my library gives hissing background noise, opening Settings menu produce some echoing popping noise and so on. I hear the normal menu sounds but they are distorted by these glitches. This happens ONLY in passthrough mode and only when using headphones. Apps that has passthrough mode also are affected by the bug, for example YouTube VR app.
Here's my research:
1. My Quest 3S device is not faulty. I tried another 3S and the same audio glitch occured.
2. My headphone are not faulty. I've tried 2 headphones with 3.5mm plug using USB-C adapter and 1 headphones that has USB-C plug them selves.
3. I found out that this exactly same bug is present on Quest 2 when using passthrough and USB-C for headphones. My Quest 2 was on v67 during my first testing and the problem still occurred. So I don't believe this is a bug only in v69. Also notable is that when changing to 3.5mm plug the glitch disappears so it is pretty obvious that this is something related to USB-C port.
4. I already hard reseted (factory reset) my Quest 3S and it did not do anything for the bug.
5. I have gone through all the possible settings, toggling mic off/on, external mic off/on, developer mode off/on, experimental settings and so on.
6. I have not tried Bluetooth headphones, just USB-C. I'm pretty sure BT headphones would fix the problem but then there would be the lag, short battery life, connectivity issues...
So anyone, same experiences? I was little surprised this issue had not been mentioned in any where in the forums before since 3S has been already out for a while and the glitch is so obvious. Maybe I'm the only one using headphones instead of the built-in speakers🤔

@nikomda Maybe check your win10/11 sound settings and make sure to select dvd quality and also disable audio enhancements. Otherwise, contact meta support I guess.

Thanks for the reply! The problem here is not related to PCVR. It's true that such Windows settings and enhancements could cause something like this, but I'am not using usb-c to connect my Quest to PC but just using Quest 3S as a standalone device and using headphones connected to usb-c.
What comes to contacting to Meta support I afraid they would provide only two solutions: hard reboot (even it's already done) or replace the device (even already tested with 3 different devices). But I hope writing here will rise this bug for the wider audience and it will be evantually noted by Metas developer team and will be fixed by software update, new USB-C drivers or something alike.
