I have tried with a Quest 2 and 3. :
Wired and Airlink.
Windows 11 Pro, then wiped the drive and installed Win 10 Pro (fully updated each time).
Windows installed drivers, then latest August 2024 with NvCleanInstall, then regular installer from Nvidia (no Gforce experience either time). Then an older driver after a DDU. Then updated to 471.41 as prompted by Oculus Link.
Downloaded PC Google Earth VR. It starts and the headset is moving the viewport around on the PC monitor, headset still black or logo and 3 dots.
There is a pop-up notification from Windows that Quest link is not working (duh).
I used Oculus Debug tool to set auto bit rate to 100 maximum. Headset is on a WiFi 6 router in same room, but it didn't work with a cable either.
PC: i3- 12100f, Z690, 16gb DDR4, GTX 970. M.2 NVMe 512GB, 750w name brand PSU (After my new Apevia 500w made a nasty exploding noise and burning smell). Stress tested on Heaven benchmark for 15mins, card was pulling 100-180fps at 65° C

1. Tried rebooting headset and PC, re-starting Oculus services, disabling game bar. Launching with no monitor connected to PC.
2. Yes, both play Gorilla Tag fine standalone.
3. Ran update tool and Quest 3 was fully updated.
4. Quest link and air link never showed any PC VR. Just sounds.
5. The PC Meta Quest app? Was downloaded and installed fresh 2x this last week (once for win11 and once for win10)
6. Cable connection results identical.
(I will try to use a 10xx gen card or newer or RX580 when possible. It works great on my other PC, a 3080 laptop)

Thank you so much for providing this information. We have some steps that we would like you to try first.
Manually assign the GPU:
Retest at this point. If it still doesn't work, please set the Oculus process priority:
Please let us know if these steps work for you. If it still doesn't work after, please feel free to reach back out. We'd love to continue working on this together.

I have a 12100F processor, no graphics except the Nvidia.
I will attempt the OVR server and Desktop streamer when possible. Thank you.

I got home and tried a completely new PC build and it worked on a different Quest 2.
But then the Quest 2 updated and it ceased to work.
Gigabyte B660M, I5-12400 (iGPU disabled in BIOS), 16GB DDR4, GTX 960.
The problem seems to be the Quest Air Link app, it worked until the headset updated. Can you confirm the new Airlink app works with GTX 970 class cards?
I will work through the fixes described now that I have a testbed.
Edit: I have enabled the Server 64 to High priority, I do not have a Virtual Desktop server in my process list under 'Details'. No change, still broken.

Hey!
We just wanted you to say it is the recommended graphics card but still it is really the minimum if you want a legitimate VR experience.
To get the best experience use NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) equivalent or greater. RAM: 8GB or greater.
Thanks for understanding.

I am switching to a PowerColor RX570 4GB. Still not working on Windows provided drivers.
Installing new AMD drivers and rebooting.
