Quest Download Queue Issue

A small portion of Quest users have experienced issues with their download queue, affecting their ability to download content. If this has impacted you, we suggest the following steps to help you get back on track and enjoying VR:

1. Check the version of your headset and see if you are running version 256550.6170.5. You can determine this by opening the Oculus app from your mobile phone, then go to:
    a. Settings -> Select your Quest device -> More Settings -> About this Headset 
    b. You will find your Headset Version. 

2. If you are running an older version, you can leave your headset undisturbed for 4.5 hours while connected to wifi and plugged into the provided charger and it will update automatically.

3. When you are on the correct version, your download queue should be empty. Please note that any queued downloads that had not completed may need to be started again.

4. If you happen to get stuck during an application installation, please wait for 15 - 20 minutes for the download queue to clear automatically and then try again, or you can reboot the device.

Hey!

If you are referring to the instruction: If you are running an older version, you can leave your headset undisturbed for 4.5 hours while connected to wifi and plugged into the provided charger and it will update automatically. then, yes - just leave it plugged in and connected to the wifi. The headset may go to sleep, but that's ok.

Alternatively, you can also just reboot the headset.

I left it plugged in, even factory restarted it, and tried again updating while plugged in for days at a time. It still does not work. Facebook even sent me a new headset and I'm still having this same problem. What else can I do?

i tried downloading beatsaber to my quest through the oculus app and it said application queued can someone help me?

this issue is still happening on latest firmware as of the date of this post (47.0.) nothing updates or can download anything new. I never had this issue before I updated to latest firmware this month. the one thing I did notice odd was that it is showing that voice command has an update but when I click it it just loads the app as if there's no update. usually it pops up a dialogue asking to update now or later. it does this for everything else that says it needs an update. quest software really should show you the "download queue" and maybe provide ways to get this issue unstuck. crazy that it has been a known issue since 2019 and it is still an issue in 2023.. factory resetting just to fix this issue is such a "we don't know how to fix the problem, let's just make the customer re-download everything" type of response.
