Quest Link - Missing Requirements

Risdekari
Honored Guest

When I go to try and launch Quest Link it tells me that my PC is "missing requirements". Didn't have this issue on my old PC so I've done a bunch of things to try and fix it and nothing has worked. When I try and launch Quest Link I just see the logo and three dots for eternity.

In the troubleshoot tab all my requirements are fine besides the Ethernet one which I'm not even using since I prefer WiFi, and I don't necessarily have an Ethernet cable to test if that will make it work, but like I said this is a new PC problem since I didn't need any of that on my old PC.

In terms of PC requirements and specs and what not everything should be viable from what I tested (especially since, one again, new PC and it has better stuff than my old one), I'll list them below in case it is needed for anything:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 6600
Memory: 16 GB
Operating System: Windows 11

I have looked on forms and reddit posts old and new and have tried every solution possible and nothing is working. Yes, my drivers are up to date, that is not the issue. Sometimes launching the meta quest app I will get an error message that disappears in one second and I could not tell you what it says because I was too focused on playing the game of "click "learn more" before the message disappears". The error message is about compatibility, and brings me to the recommended/minimum specs for running an Oculus Rift for some reason

I have officially reached my end, I have no idea how else to proceed or what to do at this point. I have reinstalled the app twice and that didn't work either. What do I do lmao

Unfortunately, AMD gpu's can be a bit it and miss for good pcvr.  Sometimes it seems more important to use the right AMD gpu driver, not necessarily the latest one.  Maybe go to the AMD user forum and find out which one seems to be working best right now.

Otherwise, I suggest you contact meta support and include your log files.  They may be able to identify what's causing your issues and try to help you resolve these.  Good luck mate and cheers.

I have an AMD 6600xt and 32gbs ram and It works great. Are you using up your Vram on something other than VR. When you play VR everything should be off and any encoding should be done on your processor side. As far as drivers. the 6000s series has it all worked out. the 7000s and the 4000s had problems recently but you should be very stable.

Grab another 16gb ram and clean up your PCs background tasks. You may get a low memory warning with 8gb of Vram but mostly it can be ignored or you can turn off high memory usage graphical features and restart the game.

Also maybe your wifi is not as strong as it used to be due to high traffic or being out of date. If you get your wifi gateway from a service provider it is free to upgrade to the newer model. Take it to the nearest location and ask for the latest Gateway.

He has a 6000 series they have been stable for year or so now.
